Lisbon is a wonderful city for families, with plenty of activities to entertain children of all ages. If you’re looking for things to do in Lisbon with kids, here are five of my favorites:
Castelo de São Jorge
The castle is one of Lisbon’s most popular tourist attractions, and it’s also a great place to take the kids. They can explore the grounds and learn about the castle’s history. But one thing will make them scream with delight: the peacocks! These beautiful birds roam freely around the castle, and the kids will love trying to spot them.
It is located on top of one of Lisbon’s seven hills and close to the city center, so it’s a great place to start your day.

Oceanário de Lisboa in Parque das Nações
This is one of the largest aquariums in Europe, and it’s a must-visit for any family in Lisbon. The kids will be fascinated by the different marine life, and they can even pet some of the animals.
Speaking of Parque das Nações, this is a great place to spend a day with the family. In addition to the aquarium, there’s also a cable car, a playground, and a science museum.

The museum is located in the Lisbon Botanical Garden, which is another great spot for families.

Costa da Caparica
This is one of Lisbon’s most popular beaches, and it is a great spot for families who want to enjoy the beach without going too far from the city. The kids can build sandcastles, swim in the ocean, and play in the waves. And when they get hungry, there are plenty of beachside cafes to refuel at.
There’re lots of surf schools in Costa da Caparica, if the kids (and adults too) are interested in learning how to surf, this is the place to do it.
