Romantic Elopement in New Zealand
When I was traveling in New Zealand, I had the opportunity to photograph an elopement on the beach by the lake. This stunning country is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, and it provides the perfect backdrop for an intimate wedding.
Let me share with you some of my favorite photos from this elopement in New Zealand.
Our elopement was located on Wakatipu Lake, nestled between the picturesque mountains on New Zealand’s South Island, 30 mins from Queenstown. This area is gorgeous and so peaceful.
We started in the early morning when the sun was still behind the mountains, and the light was perfect for photography. The elopement was very intimate, with only the bride, groom, and myself in attendance. The bride donned a blush blue dress, and the groom wore a simple shirt.
After the elopement, we returned to town and had lunch together chatting about the their plans for the future. Moving forward, we met together again, on the other side of the Earth – in London. But this is another story.
This was such a special day, and I am so grateful to have been able to capture it.
